You can manage the articles layout for a menu item. Just follow the steps given below:

1. Goto backend. Navigate to Menus -> Menu Manager , select a proper menu and edit the menu item.
2. Choose the menu item for which you want to change the layout.
3. In the right side panel, click on Parameters (Basic).
4. You can adjust the menu item layout: # Leading, # Intro, Columns, # Links.

The above figure means:

• one full article displayed at the beginning of the page(Leading)

• 4 short articles distributed in 2 columns(Intro & Columns)

• 4 links at the bottom of the page(Links)
